Answers and Solution:

Ratio of time taken = 1/3 : 1/4 = 4:3
If B takes 3 min ,A takes 4 min
If B takes 48 min ,A takes (4/3 * 48)min = 64 minutes

2. (c)
Length of diagonal = distance covered in 2 min
= (3000/60 *2) = 100 m.
so Area of the field = 1/2 *(diagonal)^2 = 1/2 *100*100
= 5000 m^2 = 50 ares

3. (c)
Distance covered in half an hour = 4 km.
2*side of the square = 4 km => side of square = 2 km
So Area of the field = 4 sq.km.
